CS2 Skin Guide is an independent guide. We are not SkinsMonkey and not affiliated with SkinsMonkey, Valve or Steam. This site has no Steam login, no forms that ask for passwords, and no trading. Every link to SkinsMonkey goes to its real address, skinsmonkey.com.

Five things to have ready
SkinsMonkey cannot start a trade until these are in place. Each takes a few minutes in Steam.
- Steam Guard Mobile AuthenticatorTurned on in the Steam mobile app. Without it Steam holds trades.
- Public profile and inventorySet both to Public in Steam privacy settings so the site can read your items.
- Steam level 2 or higherSkinsMonkey's stated minimum for trading accounts.
- Your trade URLCopied from Steam's trade offer page. It lets bots send you offers.
- No active trade holdRecent password or device changes can pause trading for days.
Worked example
One trade, three numbers
A made-up example in neutral units, to show how to read a trade. These are not SkinsMonkey prices.
| Line | Units |
|---|---|
| Value SkinsMonkey gives your rifle | 50.00 |
| Price of the knife you pick (commission included) | −47.00 |
| Left on your SkinsMonkey balance | 3.00 |
- The 3.00 stays on the site as balance. It cannot be paid out to a bank account; you can only spend it on SkinsMonkey.
- If the knife cost 53.00 instead, you would need 3.00 of balance, for example from a deposit.
- Compare the item you receive, not the bonus percentage. Check float, wear and stickers before you accept.
FAQ
Questions before the first trade
Is this the official SkinsMonkey website?
No. CS2 Skin Guide is an independent guide run by a separate operator (see Legal notice). SkinsMonkey is only the subject of the guide. The real site is skinsmonkey.com.
Can I trade or log in with Steam here?
No. This site has no Steam login, no account system, no payments and no inventory access. If a page that looks like this guide asks for your Steam login, it is not us.
Can I withdraw my SkinsMonkey balance as money?
No. According to SkinsMonkey's help centre, balance can only be used on SkinsMonkey and cannot be withdrawn. Its terms describe balance as non-monetary units. SkinsMonkey points people who want cash to a separate service.
How old do I need to be?
SkinsMonkey's terms require users to be at least 16, and users under 18 need consent from a parent or guardian. Larger payments can trigger identity checks (KYC).
Why did my item not arrive in Steam right away?
It may be trade-locked. Locked items wait in your SkinsMonkey Backpack until the lock ends, then you withdraw them within 45 days. See the Trade lock chapter.
A bot cancelled my trade and sent a new one. Is that normal?
No. SkinsMonkey says its bots do not cancel and resend offers. This pattern points to an API key scam. Decline, revoke your Steam API key and change your password. See the Safety chapter.

Start with the setup
Most failed first trades come from a missing authenticator, a private inventory or a trade hold. Chapter 1 covers all three.
